When you consider that they probably have the most talented roster and it’s such a shame that the writers or the people in charge don’t seem to be able to book any rivalries or matches that are guaranteed to get the crowds in. Without a doubt the only match that was worth watching was the Edge Vs Chris Jericho match which although it was the same match that they have been having for a while now, they are still 2 of the best wrestlers in the world and it’s always good to see them in the ring together.

Elsewhere Randy Orton lost to Jack Swagger which is surprising as Randy Orton is the best wrestler around right now and yet Jack Swagger someone who was mid card at best a month ago is suddenly beating the best wrestler around, yeah not believable WWE.

I give the whole Pay Per View a 4/10, the fact that weapons were allowed is the reason that it got a 4 otherwise i could have gone as low as a 2. So WWE please get someone who actually knows the business and can write a decent storyline because you need it.

The thing with the Lockdown Pay per View is that every match takes place in a steel cage (including the women’s matches) and in truth it was a good Pay Per View but there seemed to be a lot of changes from what was scheduled to take place compared to what actually took place. For example the Motor City Machineguns were split up and ended up wrestling in a four-way match instead of actually teaming up together like they should.

Apart from the changes there was some good matches with Kurt Angle, Mr Anderson and AJ Styles all having good showings but all attention was turned to the Lethal Lockdown Match which was a team event with Abyss, Jeff Hardy, Rob Van Dam and Jeff Jarret taking on Sting, Beer Money Inc and Desmond Wolfe which resulted in a win for the Hulk Hogan led team which included Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam.

From TNA it was a good performance but I can’t help but feel that they still aren’t using all the tools at their disposal and compared to the big events that the WWE put on and if you actually compare the 2 then there is no contest at all, for some reason TNA in their 2 hour programs tend to spend maybe 20 minutes actually showing wrestling and the other hour and 40 is filled with backstage clips and adverts which means that it is very hard to get into and without a doubt something that they need to change as soon as possible.

Without a doubt it was an OK Pay Per View with good wrestling spots and some good matches but without a doubt they are still not as good as they could be and the biggest annoying thing is that they have a fantastic roster of talent which they still aren’t using effectively. Only a 6/10 for this, a disappointment.

It all changed on the first Smackdown after Wrestlemania when Jack Swagger cashed in the Money in the Bank briefcase to take out Chris Jericho and win his first Heavyweight Championship and now it seems as if both titles have somehow ended up on RAW with no major championship for the people on Smackdown. This was confirmed when the matches foe the Extreme Rules Pay per View for the 2 major belts are John Cena Vs Batista and Jack Swagger Vs Randy Orton (all 4 are RAW competitors).

This is ok but it leaves the Smackdown roster without a major belt which really makes you wonder what exactly both Chris Jericho and Edge will be facing each other for, because it seems that with both belts on RAW either they are going to have to invade RAW to try to win a belt or they are going to have to wait for one of the champions to drop over to Smackdown.

Elsewhere it seems that they are just content to keep rehashing the same matches over and over again with both John Cena vs Batista and Rey Mysterio vs CM Punk both re-matches from Wrestlemania. Apart from those two there will also be another match between Triple H and Sheamus and although it has not been announced everything seems to be pointing at another Chris Jericho vs Edge match which means that over half the card will be matches that people have already seen last month at Wrestlemania.

Elsewhere it seems that the WWE just don’t know where they are actually aiming to be in the next few months as there are people such as Kofi Kingston, Ted DiBiase, Cody Rhodes and Christian that deserve a shot at the titles but they seem to just be sparsely used and cannot reach the level that the company appears to want them to despite the fact that they along with Randy Orton are the younger ones that will be carrying the company within the next 5-10 years, but with them getting no big stage experience now how are they supposed to do it in a few years when the likes of Triple H, Batista, John Cena, The Undertaker and Kane all retire.

So with so many of the same matches scheduled for Extreme Rules I can guarantee that I won’t be paying too much close attention to it. If i wanted to watch those matches I’d watch a repeat of wrestlemania!

Firstly lets start with the things that we all knew was going to happen The Undertaker beat Shawn Michaels to end his career, john Cena obviously had to win the title from Batista (they couldn’t have the face of the WWE not winning on the grandest stage), Randy Orton managed to beat Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase and Triple H beat Sheamus and I do believe that I predicted everyone of those.

There was of course a few filler matches as well with a tag team contest where The Big Show and The Miz retained their titles opened the show in what could have been the worst match of the night and of course there was the Diva match which I always hope they will do away with and Rey Mysterio vs CM Punk which was not nearly as good as it could have been.

Now there were two surprises: The first occurred in the Money in the Bank match (I predicted either Kofi Kingston or Christian would win) where Jack Swagger ended up getting the contract for a title shot within a year and this means that almost definitely he will be the holder of one of the main titles before the year is out. The other one was in the Edge vs Chris Jericho match up where I assumed they would give the title to Edge and then have a rivalry between the two where Jericho tried to get the title back but Jericho won and now it will be Edge that will be trying to get the title from Jericho instead of the other way round.

It was a good night and definitely a Pay Per View worthy of being on the grandest stage but it just seemed that there were too many matches where the winner was obvious before it even started. The Pay Per View was only worth a 7 out of 10 and without a doubt it could have been better. They also need to realise that women’s matches should never ever be on a Pay Per View.

1) Chris Jericho vs Edge
- This one for me should be the best match of the night it is two people who are both athletic and good wrestlers and have been around a long time but for me it’s going to be an Edge win.

2) John Cena vs Batista
- This match will probably be a slow match, especially with Batista there as he seems a lot slower these days compared to say 18 months ago. I think that because it is Wrestlemania they will go with a John Cena win.

3) Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels
- Something tells me that this is goodbye to Shawn Michaels and this is the way he’s choosing to bow out. I think it should be a good match but for me the Undertaker will keep his amazing streak going.

4) Triple H vs Sheamus
- Only ever one winner for me out of these two, Sheamus is the up and coming new guy and will not beat Triple H at Wrestlemania although if it was any other Pay Per View I would say that he had a chance, at Wrestlemania though it’s definitely a Triple H win.

5) Money in the Bank Match
- There are a few people who could win this one and with the guys that are in there I’m expecting a lot of high risk moves and I’m stuck between two people to win this one either Christian or Kofi Kingston, but with everything that has gone on lately I am going to go for a Kofi Kingston win.

6) Bret Hart vs Vince McMahon
- I will have to say that this is the one that I am least looking forward to watching as it involves two people who should have given up active participation in the ring many years ago. I am going to go for a Vince McMahon win though probably using some underhanded method.

7) Randy Orton vs Ted DiBiase vs Cody Rhodes
- This is one that I will be looking forward to quite a lot as it involves three of the best talents in the WWE at the moment, only two of them could win this match as I don’t think Cody Rhodes is good enough to win a match on this stage and with these opponents but I’m going to go for a Randy Orotn win.

8 ) Big Show and The Miz vs John Morrison and R-Truth
- This is very much a filler match and there is no reason why The Big Show and The miz would lose to a thrown together team, and although I suspect that there will be some good wrestling throughout this match the winners will be The Big Show and The Miz.

9) Rey Mysterio vs CM Punk
- This one should be a good match and it is two former World Champions going head to head but I just can’t see Rey Mysterio winning for some reason, it feels that with the rivalry they are having at the moment it appears as if the winner will be CM Punk.

Matches like the Money in the Bank match was originally thought to have been decided when they announced the first 8 competitors but it appears that they have a few tricks up their sleeves when Mr McMahon announced that Drew McIntyre was also entered and that there would be one more person to go into the match as well, which does appear as if it will be Kofi Kingston as he is a big talent that has yet to have his presence confirmed at Wrestlemania.

The thing that is most gripping at the moment is the new rivalry that is going on between Randy Orton and Legacy (Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase). After all the time the last 18 months or so that they have spent on the same page it seems that the management has finally decided that Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes can go out on there own and get away from Randy Ortons influence which has culminated in a match involving the three at Wrestlemania and I for one am really looking forward to seeing how Ted DiBiase in particular handles wrestling a talent like Randy Orton on the grand stage.

Elsewhere it seems as if TNA are finally going to try and stand up against WWE by hiring up some of the old school guys that were around in the hugely succesful WWE Attitude Era such as Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam. Without a doubt TNA now has the roster to really challenge them but only time will tell if the writers and the backroom staff can make the storylines and schedules work to get the best out of them.

As it is getting to that time of the year when Wrestlemania happens it also means that the WWE Hall of Fame will get a new class of inductees on the night before and this year there is a few stand out wrestlers that are entering including “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase and the Patriarch of the Hart family; Stu Hart. Of course Ted DiBiase will be inducted by his 2 sons Ted DiBiase Jnr and Brett DiBiase.

So with all that to come in the next two weeks I for one cannot wait.

For the most part though there should be some good matches especially with the Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels and Triple H vs Sheamus matches definitely ones that I am looking forward to. There is the match that will probably be rubbish which in this instance will be the Vince McMahon vs Bret Hart match (I mean come on both of these are old timers that should be nowehere near a wrestling ring, at least in a wrestling capacity).

A few of the matches however are definitely not what they could be and a big example of this would be the Money in the Bank match where I think that out of the 8 people that are entered there are only 1 or 2 that can possibly win it and go on to headline within the next year and they would be Christian and possibly MVP, apart from that the rest are either not ready, for example Jack Swagger or just not main event status such as Kane or Matt Hardy.

However no matter what the matches that are on Wrestlemania is generally a good show because all of the talent should want to impress and to do their best on the grandest stage with the biggest audience of the year watching. People like Chris Jericho, Edge, John Cena and Batista are old hands and will no doubt be brilliant but for others such as Shaemus, Dolph Ziggler and Evan Bourne it will be a good test to see just how good they can be with million of people around the world watchiung their every move.

So far 7 matches have been announced but there is still yet to be any sign of Randy Orton, Kofi Kingston, Ted DiBiase or Cody Rhodes on the card and surely with the way things are going at the moment they will all make an appearance at some point as well as Drew McIntyre from Smackdown.

The first match of the night was the Elimination Chamber match for the WWE championship which saw Sheamus lost the title to John Cena before Mr McMahon entered and told him that he would have to defend the title there and then against a fresh Batista, needless to say 30 seconds later and there was another new champion with Batist winning the title (god knows why they decided to do this).

After that shock there was Drew McIntyre vs Kane and it was a relatively boring match which is a shame as Kane is a legend throughout the WWE and McIntyre will be a future main eventer without a doubt but after 10 minutes of boring wrestling it was the up and coming star that beat the legend to retain the title.

Then there was the boring womens match and the singles match pitting The Miz (with The Big Show) vs MVP (with Mark Henry) and it was another boring affair which is a shame as they are 2 talented wrestlers but after a short affair the Miz retained his singles title and we can now be sure that these 4 will probably start a rivalry for the tag team titles in the near future.

Then it was time for the last match of the night which was the Elimination Chamber match for the World Heavyweight Championship match and there was drama from the start as during his entrance the Undertaker was hit by a rogue flame from the pyrotechnics and had to run down to the ring to pour water over the burns that he had got.

The match, after the bad start, was a good one but it was overly predictable especially when it got down to the final 2 and Chris Jericho was left fighting the Undertaker. Then came the thing that everyone knew was going to happen with Shawn Michaels appearing and costing the Undertaker his title to Chris Jericho.

This obviously leads us to what we already knew with Chris Jericho vs Edge for the title, and The Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania. Overall it was an ok PPV maybe a 6/10 but they have no built the foundations so lets hope they can deliver when they need to.

The first thing is the rumour that Edge will face off against Batista at the Elimination Chamber PPV which seems silly really as we know that Edge will be in the main event come Wrestlemania and to give him a one off match against Batista makes no sense when he should be making some sort of statement about who he will face in the main event on the grandest stage of them all.

The next thing is the tag team titles that were dropped by DX to the team of The Miz and The Big Show. This in itself was not that big of a surprise as we all knew that DX were going to drop the titles but what is weird is that it was to a team where this was the first time that they had teamed up when there are better more experienced teams out there such as the Hart Dynasty.

Apart from that there is the fact that Legacy seems to have split up and gone their seperate ways which isn’t too surprising as it has been said that Cody Rhodes wasn’t progressing as well as Ted DiBiase and without a doubt the management are looking for a few more people that could reach the main event stage this year and it looks as if Ted DiBiase will be one of those.

So with various strange things going on it looks as if it could be a strange few months within the WWE until we get to Wrestlemania so lets all just sit back and enjoy the ride.

It looks like in the fall out of the Royal Rumble DX will be splitting up and this was confirmed when The Big Show and The Miz teamed up to win the Tag Team Championships and it looks as if we will get a match of some sorts between Shawn Michaels and Triple H at Wrestlemania.

Elsewhere the 2 Elimination chamber matches and their participants have already been announced:

Sheamus Vs John Cena, Randy Orton, Kofi Kingston, Ted DiBiase and Triple H.

The Undertaker Vs John Morrison, R-Truth, CM Punk, Rey Mysterio and Chris Jericho.

The one thing that many people have been looking at is who Edge will choose to face as the Royal Rumble Winner and I only see the fact that maybe Chris Jericho will win the belt from the Undertaker which means that Edge vs Jericho would be on for Wrestlemania. Without a doubt there are quite a few matches that can probably already be pencilled in for Wrestlemania such as John Cena vs Batista and Triple H Vs Shawn Michaels.

There is also the idea that this should be a good platform for some of the others that would like to get into the Money in the Bank match such as R-Truth, Ted DiBiase, Cody Rhodes and John Morrison who all deserve a chance to get a shot at the Heavyweight titles within the next year or so.

So with just 12 days to go before we head to St. Louis for the Elimination Chamber Pay Per View we should start to see the other matches at Wrestlemania revealed.
